Do I need tools?
No. Everything assembles by hand in 5 to 30 minutes. If you own an Allen key, it can stay in the drawer.
Does it need to be anchored?
It's freestanding by design. For tall units, homes with children, or seismic zones, we recommend anchoring it to the wall with standard hardware (not included).
Why is my shelf board in two pieces?
Boards are one piece up to 70″. Wider shelves are split into two boards that meet over a module, where the joint is fully supported.
Will the wood match the photos exactly?
Close, not identical. Wood is natural, so tone and grain vary from board to board. That's the point of real wood.
Can I add to it later?
Yes. Every system uses the same joint, so you can extend it sideways or combine it with other configurations.

Each shelf board is one piece up to 70″. On wider systems, the board is split into two pieces that meet over a module, so the joint stays supported and discreet.
Wood is a natural material. Differences in tone and grain between boards, and from the photos, are expected. No two systems are identical.
